Welcome Home, Midnight

The vet called this morning and told me that I could bring my dear cat home. He is still sick, unfortunately, but there doesn't seem to be more that the vet could do for him. They are diagnosing him with pancreatitis at this time. Now I get to give him half an appetite stimulant pill each morning and two doses of pain medication each day. Lucky me. Monday I am to call the vet again and give them an update on Midnight's condition. Meanwhile, we are still having litter box issues. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get the cat reacquainted with his litter box, please leave a comment.

Midnight has reclaimed his spot on top of the cable box. It is warm and dark. Unless his tail is hanging out or his eyes or mouth are open, you can't see him there. And he really didn't appreciate me blinding him with the camera flashes.

Let's see what else is going on around here.
A dendrobium orchid is blooming.

My variegated terrestrial orchid is beginning to bloom. The term terrestrial means that this orchid actually grows in the soil. These kinds of orchids do not have aerial roots.

This particular orchid is grown more for the leaves than the flowers.
Hopefully Midnight will feel better now that he is surrounded by family and plants.

Welcome home, Middie.

I wish my orchids looked as good as yours.
