Now that all that nasy rain has finally moved on, we can get to the business of growing. And after almost 5 inches of rain in 24 hours of continuous rainfall, I need my sunshine.
The buds (that still exist, no thanks to the local deer) of one of my dogwood trees.
The hyacinths are growing.
And out back the daffodils are getting ready to bloom.
The surpise lilies are gathering strength to bloom later in the year. They grow now, then the leaves die back. In August, the flowers suddenly appear.
My rhododendrons will be blooming soon.
