A Winter's Drive

After several days of snow and clouds,

the sun finally graced us with its presence.

So I took a slight detour on my way home from town

today.

I thought some of you might appreciate

the winter scenes.

don't drive and take pictures at the same time.

Snow on the limestone cliffs.

Heading south.

Giant icicles.

Lake Monroe can be seen through the trees.

I was actually stopped for this picture.

Heading on foot for the dam overlook.

The lake is ice and snow-covered.

Pretty.

And pretty cold.

The wind chill was about 10 degrees.

I do this for you.

A chance of more snow is forecast for early next week.

Lucky us.
