Sad News

Earlier today I learned that a respected

member of the gardening community in

Bloomington passed away recently.

Greg Speichert, who was the

Director of Hilltops Gardens at Indiana University,

passed away while at a conference in

Philadelphia last week.

If you recall,

I had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Speichert

speak at a University Club Luncheon

earlier this year.

His enthusiasm for gardening

and dedication to his job was evident

as he spoke.

He will be missed.
